Seville is the Andalusian capital, located on the plain of the Guadalquivir River. During the centuries it has been being a very important port city, especially for the commerce between Spain and America.

{READ MORE}From the 711 A.D. to the 1248 A.D. the whole region has been occupied by the Arabs and the influence they left in the territory is pretty big, especially in architecture. Art and literature got really important in the 17th century, as Seville is where some of the main Spanish characters were born, such as Velázquez and Don Juan.  In the 20th century Expo 92 took place in Seville and this amplified its image as a modern and dynamic place.

Nowadays Seville is world famous for flamenco, bullfights and tapas.
Just arriving in town the music heartbeat will make you feel the passion this city transmits all around and in several bars you can get the truly experience of a flamenco show.
Tapas seem to have been invented in Seville and here you can actually find a thousand bars with a huge variety of food. The idea of tapas is having just a little taste of different dishes, to accompany your drink and Sevillians use to make a real meal out of them, moving from bar to bar in a kind of “Spanish pub crawl”.
The historical centre is a labyrinth of narrow streets, full of joy and noise. The Cathedral, the Alcázar, The Torre del Oro and the Giralda are the main attractions of the city and they show pretty well the mark the Moorish occupation left in the city.

Another very good excuse to visit Seville is the “fiestas”. The Holy Week (La Semana Santa) and the April Festival (Feria de Abril) are worldwide famous and they show very well the sevillian folklore and the people’s character, very open and friendly with visitors.

The Sevilla Urbany Hostel is located in the very heart of the city, within easy walking distance of all the most popular tourist sites, galleries, shops, tapas bars and restaurants. The hostel is cosy and has a real Andalusian soul.
It was designed to make you feel comfortable and safe and to help you get the most out of your stay in the Andalusia's capital.

So it’s time to start planning your trip… Seville is waiting for you!
