The Montjuic de Nit Festival: concerts, events and all the Montjuic Museums opened untill 02:00 AM with free entrance from 08:00 PM.

Thirteen stages have been installed at the Montjuic Mountain, where the concerts will be held at the open air. Each concert has been organized by some of the most important festivals held along the year in Barcelona, like The Sónar or The Primavera Sound Festival.  There are also other activities scheduled: exhibitions, films & documentaries. Flamenco, hip-hop, pop, electronic music ... a wide offer for a special night filled with music.

But that's not all. Within the frame of the Festival, all the Montjuic Museums will be open during the night untill 2:00 AM, you will have free access to all activities and a make a night visit to the Joan Miró Foundation, the MNAC, the Olympic Museum or the Poble Espanyol.

There will also be a shuttle-bus service available between Pça Espanya to the Castle of Montjuic, it will allow you to attend all the events.

How to get to Pça Espanya from our Hostel in Barcelona?

The easiest and fastest  way: Take the Metro, you have the station at 5 minutes walking from the door of our Hostel in Barcelona.

You'll be at Pça Espanya in about 20 minutes: Take the line L1-FONDO / Hospital de Bellvitge  at the CLOT station. Get off at ESPANYA Station (9 stops).

But there are also other things to do if you're staying at our Hostel in Barcelona this weekend ... What about having a drink inside a big truck at 10 degrees below zero?  This is what famous brand of beer suggests us for this weekend in Barcelona. Go to the Barceloneta Beach, you'll find there until next Sunday the "Extracold Truck" . What can you do there? Visit the inside of the truck and have a drink at the bar settled there ... at ten degrees below zero!

How to reach the Barceloneta Beach from our Hostel in Barcelona? You'll be there in 25 minutes!

Take the train renfe line C1 at the Clot Aragó Station (at a 5 minutes walking distance form our Hostel in Barcelona), and get off at Arc de Triomf, after 1 stop. From there, take the bus line number 39 an get off after 7 stops at Joan de Borbó-Almirall Aixada.

How to reach the Cornellà El Prat stadium from our Barcelona Hostel? You can do it by train. Take the Rodalies line R4 from the station El Clot, at 200m from the door of our Barcelona Hostel, direction Cornellà. Get off at Cornellà station, the trip takes about 25 minutes. Once you're in Cornellà train station, you'll reach the Cornellà Stadium in 15 minutes walking.

Our Barcelona Hostel informs to all Barcelona Backpackers that on Sunday, June the 20th, from 10:00 h. to 18:00 h. the Palau de la Musica Catalana has scheduled its annual Open Day.

It is a great opportunity for those who are staying at our Barcelona Hostel, as well as for all Barcelona Backpackers who are travelling to the city during the week. Whether you came to attend the Sónar 2010 or if you are just backpacking in the city, stay up until Sunday the 20th and enjoy the free access to the Palau de la Música. Keep in mind that guided tours tickets cost normally 12 €, quite an expensive price for Barcelona Backpackers. So, stay on sunday and walk freely discovering all the spaces and rooms of this temple of music, declared Patrimony of Humanity by UNESCO in 1997 ...

Work of the Architect Lluis Domenech i Montaner and built between 1905 and 1908, the Palau de la Música is a jewel of modernist architecture and one of the most emblematic buildings of the city of Barcelona and the Catalan society. The Palau is definitely a must see for Barcelona Backpackers and tourists.

How to get there from our Barcelona Hostel? Take the metro L1 line from the Clot Arago stop, 5 minutes walking distance from our Barcelona Urbany Hostel, and get off in Urquinaona (after 4 stops). From Pça. Urquinaona, walk down the c / Jonqueres and in 5 minutes you'll reach the Palau de la Musica Catalana. Looking for Hostels in Barcelona to attend the Sonar 2010? Come to Barcelona Urbany and hurry up, the Sonar Festival starts on June, 17th, and there's still availability at our Hostel in Barcelona to enjoy the festival!

The Barcelona Sonar Festival will open this year's edition on June 17th. For three days, the city will be  focussed on the most advanced music and multimedia art. As you may know, the festival activities take place in different areas of Barcelona and at different times along the day: Sonar by Day and Sonar by Night.

Sonar by Day: It takes place between the CCCB and MACBA. It includes the "Technology Fair", which presents the latest developments related to equipment for DJs and electronic music artists. Also the "SonarCinema" which focuses on the latest trends and video creations, multimedia and films. And the "Sonarmática", the main multimedia area, with monographs on a city or country, including some graphic design creations, NetArt ...

Sonar by Night: The Sonar by night agenda main concerts are held in the Fira Gran Via (M2) Area, L'Hospitalet. Also other concerts are scheduled at the Teatre Grec, the Auditori de Barcelona and the Cosmocaixa Museum. This year, the Sonar will give us the oppotunity to attend some great bands concerts like The Chemical Brothers, Fuck Buttons or Roxy Music.

How to arrive from our Hostel in Barcelona to the Sonar by night area? The best option is to take the Sonar by Night special bus service, that will take you to the Fira Gran Via. It's departure stop is at Pça. Dressanes and it will be working on Friday and Saturday from 8:30 PM to 8:00 AM, round trip. To go to Dressanes, take the metro line C1 Badalona/ Hospitalet at the stop Clot / Arago, at 5 minutes walking distance from our Hostel in Barcelona. Get off after two stations, at Pça Catalunya. From Pça Catalunya, take the L3 metro line to Drassanes (2 stops).

Ticket for all sonar activities, both day and night: 155 € if you buy at the official website of the event. At box offices, the price is 165 €.

Ticket for Sonar Day activities, only 1 day: € 39 if you buy at the website, 45 € at the box office.

Once you're there, take the bus line number 193 from Avda. Maria Cristina, and after 6 stops you'll reach the Palau Sant Jordi.
