Our Hostel in Barcelona is pleased to announce that jury for the 1st Graffiti Contest organized by Barcelona Urbany and Montana Colors has already declarated who are the winners. After several meetings of the jury members and with some delay in obtaining a unanimous verdict,due to the large number of candidates and the extraordinary quality of their work ... we finally know who will decorate our Hostel in Barcelona empty walls!
It has not been easy, and after assessing all the applications submitted under the criteria of creativity, technique, originality, versatility and quality, the jury has decided that the Graffiti Contest winners are:
SD Arte Mural, a team made up by Augustin and Christian, two art and design former students with more than 10 years of experience in the art of graffiti. Kenor. Kenor will be in charge of coloring up the luggage room of Barcelona Urbany and he'll get a 250 € prize. Kenor is an artist of wide experience, unusual style and personality, this is the link to his website www.elkenor.com
Zosen. Born in Argentina but living in Barcelona for more than 20 years, his artistic interests extend far beyond the graffiti art. His work will be on the walls of the kitchen, and he'll also get one of the 250 € prizes. His website: animalbandido.com
Eduardo Luque-Lalone-. Born in Málaga, this artist who will be responsible for decorating one of the walls of our common room on the 3rd floor. He will also receive a prize of 250 €
We must say that we've received many excellent artists candidatures. So, even the four artists above listed have been the contest winners, we want to thank all of those who have sent their applications requesting to participate in our contest and we'd like to congratulate them for the quality of their work.
The four winners will begin to decorate the areas of our Hostel in Barcelona during the week starting on September 6th and the Final Festival Awards party will be held on September the 17th or the 18th.
It is going to be a great party at Barcelona Urbany for Final Festival Awards: Free snacks & drinks and a D.J. for the contest closing day at our Hostel in Barcelona. If you decide to join us, you will see the brand new works by the Barcelona Urbany Graffiti Contest winners, and you'll also have good time with music by a DJ, drinks and snacks.

Are you a Barcelona Backpacker interested on graffiti art? Are you a graffiti artist? Do you have some works you can show us? Would you like to help our Hostel in Barcelona decorating one of our walls? Great! Come to Barcelona Urbany, the trendiest hostel in the city. We're looking for Graffiti artists who can color up our hostel with cool vibes. We need graffiti professional or amateur artists to decorate the white walls of four different areas at our Hostel in Barcelona.
Sprays and markers will be supported from our Hostel in Barcelona, sponsored by Montana Colors shop (c/ Comerç 6) in Barcelona. Are you interest...ed? All you have to do is bring us is a portfolio with the past work! Don't miss this fantastic opportunity to demonstrate your skills as a graffiti artist.

Free Access to the Fitness center while staying at our Hostel in Barcelona
Good news for Barcelona backpackerswho don´t want to miss daily routines working out. At Urbany Hostel, Barcelona backpackers have access to gym and swimming pool for free.
With the same card key you'll get when you check-in, you'll be welcome to our Hostel in Barcelona's local fitness center, located only a few foot steps away from the hostel.
At the fitness zone, there are running machines, cycling machines and weight training facilities. Yoga, spinning, pilates and step classes are scheduled from morning till evening.
The swimming pool is 25 m long. Jacuzzi and sauna are also included in the service; all for free for Barcelona backpackers who stay with Urbany Hostel! Doesn´t matter how many times you enter, or how long you stay.
A light exercise after a healthy breakfast meal, also served for free, will energize your day up during your backpacking.
