Since last month, we've been scheduling our 3rd. floor activities, held at our large common room and terrace. Each evening, Monday to Saturday, from 9.30 PM, we organize some different and fun activities that will for sure make you enjoy the best Hostel in Barcelona! Come and have a good time after Backpacking Barcelona!
Our activities change every month. Some activities are: learn to make mojitos or sangria, you can take some spanish lessons, you can eat paella or play sjoelbak, the traditional dutch board game ... Or in case you would like to come a little bit later, at 10:45 PM, we've more activities! Wii competitions, flamenco classes, latin dance ...
Spend a great time with us and enjoy our activities for free. Come to the third floor of our Hostel in Barcelona! Feel the Urbany Vibe and make new friends, Urbany People like you.

We knew that our Hostel in Barcelona social network would give so much to talk about ... this last week been several digital and paper media have covered the Barcelona Urbany Hostel AVIM's birth, the device at our Hostel in Barcelona which is our own social network. It's a fully touch interactive device also provided with a videocamera that will allow you to record your own messages and videos after registration.

We’re happy to announce that from today you’ll find another tab on our facebook fan page from which our friends and guests will be able to book their beds in our hostels directly from this social network. Stay in Facebook, look for the Urbany Hostels fan page and from there, click on the booking tab !
Any visitor at our Facebook fan page will be able to check for availability and rates in our Barcelona Hostel, and then make a booking just by clicking on the image, which will load our booking box inside our Facebook fan page. Once the required information will be filled in, you’ll be redirected to the Barcelonaurbany website, where you’ll finish your booking transaction.
This way, you’ll get to Barcelona Urbany from Facebook with less clicks and in a much more comfortable way. Every day it’s easier to reach Barcelona Urbany Hostel.

We’re pleased to let you know that three of the four graffiti artists who won the I Graffiti Contest by Urbany Hostels & Montana Colors have already been decorating their Barcelona Urbany Hostel areas: the kitchen, by Zosen; the luggage room by Kenor and the common room by Lalone. They’ve been working hard and the decorations at our Barcelona Hostel are pretty good looking!!
But even though we planned that all works should be finished last week, our graffiti artists painting the reception will start their work the next week, so not all our Barcelona Hostel areas are decorated yet. That’s why we would like all our friends to know that the Final Festival Awards party at our Barcelona Hostel will be hold over until October the 8th or the 9th.
So we are making an effort to prepare our Barcelona Hostel Graffiti contest closing day, not only with free snacks & drinks as well as a D.J. (or maybe a Band playing live music?) but with many other fun activities: some of the contest winners will be there, so if you decide to join us, you will see the brand new works by the Barcelona Urbany Graffiti Contest winners, being possible to talk to them, asking them about their work, even watch the fantastic video we recorded while they were working … and of course, you'll also have good time with music, drinks and snacks.

Our Hostel in Barcelona is pleased to announce that jury for the 1st Graffiti Contest organized by Barcelona Urbany and Montana Colors has already declarated who are the winners. After several meetings of the jury members and with some delay in obtaining a unanimous verdict,due to the large number of candidates and the extraordinary quality of their work ... we finally know who will decorate our Hostel in Barcelona empty walls!
It has not been easy, and after assessing all the applications submitted under the criteria of creativity, technique, originality, versatility and quality, the jury has decided that the Graffiti Contest winners are:
Awarded for the Reception Area of our Hostel in Barcelona
SD Arte Mural, a team made up by Augustin and Christian, two art and design former students with more than 10 years of experience in the art of graffiti. Awarded for the Luggage Room of our Hostel in Barcelona
Kenor. Kenor will be in charge of coloring up the luggage room of Barcelona Urbany and he'll get a 250 € prize. Kenor is an artist of wide experience, unusual style and personality, this is the link to his website www.elkenor.com
Awarded for the Guests Kitchen of our Hostel in Barcelona
Zosen. Born in Argentina but living in Barcelona for more than 20 years, his artistic interests extend far beyond the graffiti art. His work will be on the walls of the kitchen, and he'll also get one of the 250 € prizes. His website: animalbandido.com
Awarded for the Common Room of our Hostel in Barcelona
Eduardo Luque-Lalone-. Born in Málaga, this artist who will be responsible for decorating one of the walls of our common room on the 3rd floor. He will also receive a prize of 250 €
We must say that we've received many excellent artists candidatures. So, even the four artists above listed have been the contest winners, we want to thank all of those who have sent their applications requesting to participate in our contest and we'd like to congratulate them for the quality of their work.
The four winners will begin to decorate the areas of our Hostel in Barcelona during the week starting on September 6th and the Final Festival Awards party will be held on September the 17th or the 18th.
It is going to be a great party at Barcelona Urbany for Final Festival Awards: Free snacks & drinks and a D.J. for the contest closing day at our Hostel in Barcelona. If you decide to join us, you will see the brand new works by the Barcelona Urbany Graffiti Contest winners, and you'll also have good time with music by a DJ, drinks and snacks.
